Tenerife, the biggest island of the Canary islands is an ideal holiday hotspot during the summer as well as during the winter. Due to its southern location, the temperature during the winter is still very enjoyable. The island is therefore often called the island of eternal spring. And that only 4 hours flying distance, ideal right?

There are lots of things to do for lots of different people on the island. The sun lovers can enjoy the beautiful weather and the beach. Active types can walk, cycle or enjoy all sorts of water sports. The island has an impressive volcanic landscape with as ultimate highlight the Pico del Teide.The top of this volcano is the highest point in Spain. Officially, the volcano is asleep, but there still is a tiny chance it can have new outbreaks. It's worth a visit to see the top, with a cable, you can reach a height of 3550 meters. Nature lovers can optimally enjoy all the natural beauty that the island has to offer.
There are also several nature parks where one can enjoy the flora and fauna. This turns out to be very diverse, from a barren moonscape to very tropical landscapes. Regularly, there are whales and dolphins spotted near the coast.

The southwest of the island is the most touristy, in the north is the town of Puerto de la Cruz, a major seaside resort. The largest resort on the island is Playa de las Americas, this resort is very touristy. Los Cristianos is a slightly quieter resort that is very suitable for families with small children. Those who prefer to an authentic seaside resort may be the best to Garachico
to go. This place is very popular among the islanders, this one finds a very authentic atmosphere.

Since the crisis, many homes in Tenerife are seized by the banks. There is something to be found for everyone: apartments, houses and villas. These have all been bought by the bank  and they are now up for auction. This creates an opportunity to find a nice spot on this sunny island for a really beneficial price!
